Ropatec Vertical Axis Wind turbines are an innovation of many years of research and technology development. Initial testing by Ropatec began in the Alps, exposing the generators to extreme weather conditions. The aim of the company was to produce a product that could withstand severe weather conditions and prove to be both reliable and dependable. The results of these studies led to the development of the Ropatec Vertical Axis Wind Turbine. These turbines are available in a variety of sizes designed to meet the specific needs of a wide variety of consumers ranging from suburban homeowners to farms, businesses and industries. As testament to the dependability of the turbines, institutes and industries such as research institutes in Antarctica, the United Nations and Audi are currently using these generators for energy production. Ropatec models range in size from 300 watt to 20 kilowatt units with inverters available to enable a grid tie connection to your local power company. Models are also available with a “HotMax” heat controller, providing a hot water heating system to your home or business. For off-grid installations, many digital battery storage solutions are available to meet specific needs.

The Ropatec turbines can start generating energy with as little as 10 km/h winds. Because of its design and sturdy construction, it can withstand hurricane force winds as it functions without needing to turn into the wind. With no mechanical parts, gears or braking systems, it has proven to be highly efficient in extreme weather conditions.
Global warming has become an issue of great concern, not only impacting the world as we know it today but also the world of the future; the world of our children. We are seeing increasing incidents of natural disasters with disturbing and grave results although we have yet to grasp the enormity of the destruction we are causing our planet.
